Countryside Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
6101 Nall Avenue, Mission, Ks. 66202
Application due June 16, 2023 at Countryside Christian Church office.
Funds to be disbursed on/around July 09, 2023.
Print the application from the website, fill out the application and mail/bring to the Countryside Church office by 4 PM Friday, June 16, 2023.
The background and purpose:
Countryside Disciples Women (formerly Christian Women’s Fellowship) have served God faithfully since the beginning of the congregation in 1940. As women of faith, they provided consistent nurture for their families, the congregation, their networks of influence and involvement in the community, and through their vocations. Many of the current generation of adult women at Countryside were recipients of that nurture and leadership training.
Honoring the values we share with our foremothers, we established a scholarship fund. As funds are raised, they will be disbursed accordingly, not maintained as an endowment fund. The intent of this scholarship is to help individuals further their education after high school with an emphasis toward their willingness to serve God through their faith, family, and vocation. A scholarship committee will review, and select recipient/s. Recipients will be asked to communicate with the Countryside Disciples Women once the semester/quarter/program begins in order to let donors know how the recipient is doing and if appropriate how/what the recipient is learning about God’s intention for their life.
